Whirlpool DU930PWP02 Start Light Flashes 3 Times and does not run

first of all, with any problem, always try to reset it, unplug it for 20-30 mins or so and replug. it sounds to me like The motor is probably froze up. Very common if they sit for any length of time. Easy to fix too. Just get underneath it and look for the blades on the motor shaft. Give them a turn. BE CAREFUL NOT TO TOUCH ANY WIRES though. Unplug it first if you can. good luck.

You will have to reset the console. To do this, close the door and press these buttons in sequence...

-high temp wash
-heated dry
-high temp wash
-heated dry

...all the lights will turn on briefly and the machine will start a diagnostic cycle. You can press cancel or let the diagnostic cyle finish (1-2 minutes).
You should now be able to run the dishwasher as normal.

ok well usually it is not sensing a temperature change in the water or not getting hot enough. so you can reset the dishwasher and try running the hot water in the sink before starting the dishwasher. if it fails again there is a heating element and control board kit that would need to be installed. you can reset the dishwasher by pushing "high temp wash" and "heated dry" back and forth until all the lights light up then you can hit the cancel and drain button twice.. put detergent in and run it.

holding the button for four seconds will not do it, you have to hold it until the light stops blinking and
will go back to normal, normall takes more than four seconds to unlock the unit, this is something
the sears repair techs know becouse the are trained on all this things but, they will not share this things, becouse thats how they make money

i have a whilpool du960 the rinse only light is flashing and the light wash light is also flashing.
