Yup, found it on another site..I had the same issue today.

Reset code: Push 1. Heat Dry 2. Normal 3. Heat Dry 4. Normal

wait about 2 minutes as the controller resets itself. You should see all the leds flash on and then wash and rinse leds stay on for about 30 seconds. A minute or so later ..presto, my machine worked again.

My machine is not the GU3200XTP, but in the same Whirlpool tall tub series (same manual) so leds may not have the same name.

Don't ever buy a whirlpool (or Maytag) product ever again. That is the easiest way to not have that problem again. I talked directly to an administrative assistant at corporate and she said that dishwashers and washing machines only last about 5 years from the maytag dependability people. Our old maytag lasted 13 years with one pump replacement. Our current 6 year old just got its third pump replacement. Our old maytag washing machine lasted 19 years. Our current 7 year old maytag washer has had the tranny replaced and the timer switch replaced. I can only say, based on my experience with whirlpool brands; they have implemented planned obsolescence across the brands they sell. I will never buy whirlpool again!

Clean light blinks on whirlpool dishwasher won't run

If you aren't sure whether Control Lock is on, press a cycle button on the keypad. If Control Lock is on, the light will blink three times.
Turning off Control Lock:
  1. Press and hold the Lock Button for four seconds. The lock light will disappear.
  2. Once off, you should be able to start your wash cycle.
Note: If Sleep Mode is on, turn that off first, then turn off Control Lock.

Like many other electronics, you may need to reset the dishwasher control panel by turning it off, waiting, then turning it back on.
  1. Press the OFF button.
  2. Disconnect the dishwasher from its power source by unplugging it or by turning the circuit breaker off at the electric panel.
  3. Once disconnected, wait one minute, and turn the power back on.

My dishwasher seems to be locked up and needs to be reset. the clean led is constantly flashing. i had this trouble in the past, and the serviceman reset the dishwasher by using the touchpad on the front...

Control is programmed to
stop the current cycle and
not allow any further
cycles if it suspects a
faulty heater (no
temperature increase
detected in heated
intervals). Control blinks
the Clean LED 7 times in
repetitive fashion and
disables the Start/Resume
key until cleared.
Heater circuit problem:
■ Open in heater.
■ Open connection or
component in heater
circuit.
■ Faulty heater drive
circuit on control.
Running Diagnostics clears the control and
allows it to operate again. If heating problem
is not corrected though, the control will stop
running again on next cycle. See below.
1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.
2. Check all components and connections in
the water heating circuit or heat dry circuit.
■ Check resistance of heater.
■ Check resistances of all connections and
components between the control and
heater.
■ Check operation of heater and temperature
sensor in Diagnostics cycle.

My dishwasher is a whirlpool model # DU1050XTPB3. The clean button keeps flashing and when I push the start button nothing happens

The blinking clean light is an interruption in the dishwasher program that usually indicates a component malfunction. This can also be a result of a momentary program glitch. If a component is defective, it's usually attributed to the heating cycle or thermostat failure. To rule out component failure, or program error, the following link explains how you may be able to clear the blinking clean light problem and possibly avoid a service call:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r3575752-dishwasher_blinking_clean_light

Keep in mind all dishwashers are not alike and have different panel options. If you do not have the same set up that I have mentioned, the tech sheet for your dishwasher will explain the touch pad functions. The tech sheet is located behind the lower toe panel under the door and lists the proper sequence of buttons to push for diagnostics and troubleshooting. Just remove the screws that hold the panel in place and remove.

NOTE: Sometimes the tech sheet is located behind the inner door panel. You will need to remove the screws securing the inner panel to access it if this is the case. Make sure you turn off the main power breaker before doing so.

In many cases, I found this to be a momentary glitch in operation. If the problem keeps reoccuring the number of flashes is an indication of WHICH circuit is causing your problem. As all dishwashers differ in operation and features, refer to your tech sheet for the recommended troubleshooting steps.

NOTE: Some dishwashers use the Sani-Rinse/Air Dry combination, some use the Sani-Rinse/Heated Dry combination. Some use a sequence of three, others use a sequence of 5 pushes of the buttons. If the tech sheet is not located behind the lower toe panel, it should be affixed somewhere under the dishwasher. I have also found them located inside the inner door panel. Please post back and let me know if you still need assistance.
