Will turn on and not off with the same button? Try the power operation with printer disconnected from the PC. If the problem persists when in this state, it is a problem on the IC controller and is not a repairable item due to cost. Printers are cheap these days and repairing them for anything other a gear jam is not cost effective.

Ok, a really brief description you got there, so the answer will be big. There is two main things you go to do. One on your PC and the other is on another person's PC. first, you got to test your printer on another PC to isolate the problem. If it worked then it's a problem in your Printer driver, uninstall reinstall or update. If it still has the same problem, then you have to do the same on your PC, uninstall your Printer Driver, reinstall then if still has the problem upgrade your software. Still not working? you have to open-up your Printer, unscrew the screws on the outside then check the board if there is a burned IC or resistor. Maybe something you can barely see. The last option is for a technician to check it. Good Luck.

Cannot print from command prompt - Epson U220D Windows 7 32-bit New parallel port with driver New centronix to parallel cable Epson driver APD_455dE (I was using Windows 7 64 bit with a...

The Epson works fairly well with XP. It is to be connected to
a parallel port, usually LPT1
using an IEEE certified parallel printer cable. The computer BIOS
setting is best set for standard parallel port, SPP, bi-directional port
or similar. If possible, do not set it to ECP or EPP or ECP & EPP.

The only native driver for the printer is on the Windows CP CD. Install
using the Add Printer wizard.

The Epson LQ-860 drivers, and a few others, can be used. Using these
drivers, you will discover that the printer actually has some resident
fonts (in printer ROM) that are not accessible from the Stylus
driver. However, with this driver, graphics printing quality is
compromised.

Windows 9x drivers _cannot be used_.

Let us know.

This

: I've tried everything I could and nothing is working. The printer is

: (don't know why) so I had to manually Add Hardware (Printer Port) with
the

Router quite working. Wireless does not work nor

Follow this procedure :
  1. Turn off all components on your network - computer, router, modem, printers and any wifi laptops
  2. With the ethernet cable connected only between the modem and the router TURN THE POWER TO THE ROUTER ON and let it boot up.
  3. Turn on the modem and let it boot up to all lights on.
  4. Connect / boot up any and all other components on your network.
Keep this order handy in case of a power outage. Best of successes!

Inability to online printer

Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.
Hope this helps. Bud

Cannot Install it Successfully

Restart you computer. Turn your printer off, wait 20 seconds and turn it back on again. Load up software you use to talk to the printer.

What interface are you using to connect to the printer?

Not quite sure how I did it. Think there may have been a malfunction with the power button. I have managed to use the printer successfully today. Thanks.

Both power & feed lights flash

Information gathered: Basically the printer carrier has stalled.
Lexmark documentation states that you should turn off your printer and wait a few seconds and turn the printer back on.
Restarting the spooler will sometimes do the trick as well.
Go to start, run
type: <cmd> without <>
Command prompt will open up.
Type: net stop spooler
The spooler will say it stopped successfully.
Type net start spooler
The spooler will say it started successfully.
Hope this helps!
