Dyer LSG7804ABE Gas Stackable very little heat

Happy New Year
LSG7804ABE stackable gas dyer.....

The igniter starts and the gas flame stays on for no more then 5 seconds then cycles through on and off through the drying process but never heats the tub long enough to dry clothes.

It took 5 hours 1/2 load but air-dried the laundry.

Maytag repairperson cost $ 85.00 but never fixed the dryer...

reading the self-help it suggests
1. Replace coils
2. Replace flame sensor
3. Replace igniter

Any thoughts before spending hard earn cash on possiblities ...

Thanks Very Much,

Rick

Whirlpool LG7681XSW2 gas dyer will not stay hot

You have a faulty "flame sensor". Here is the part to order.
The flame sensor is number 49 on this diagram.
To replace the flame sensor, remove the back panel to gain access to it.

The part comes with a 365 day, any part, any reason return policy.

I have a Kenmore gas dyer that has developed a burning smell

check vent line, either check outside to see if flapper is blowing open or disconnect vent line from back of dryer and see if it helps.if not there are two thermostats Number: 660036 Substitution: 279048 and
Number: 3387134 ,this one is on blower wheel housing and the other is in the back, take back wall off and you'll see it on right hand side on heater vent duct

Dyer heat only stays on for 10 seconds and then turns off

Make sure the lint filter is clean and the vent duct is not clogged. Check all the way to the vent outlet. Then: Check the ignitor underneath the drum. (You have to open the panel to see it) It should glow shortly after the dryer starts, then the flame starts and the ignitor shuts off. If the ignitor does not glow then it or the thermostat is bad. If the ignitor is glowing but the gas does not light then the flame sensor may have to be replaced. If the gas ignites but does not stay on either the flame sensor or the coils are at fault.

Gas dyer not heating up

Most of the gas dryers have everything accessible by simply releasing the spring clips atop the toe panel and getting it out the way.

Kenmore front load washer won't heat

The gas burner assembly uses solenoid coils in a circuit with the flame sensor to safely ignite the burner. When the dryer starts a heated cycle, the circuit through those components is energized. The igniter glows until it reaches the proper temperature to ignite the gas, at which point the flame sensor trips open and the current flowing through that circuit is diverted to the gas valve coils so the gas valves open, and the burner lights and continues to burn. If the solenoid coils on the gas valves fail, the gas valves won't open for ignition. If the gas valve coils are weak, the burner lights during the initial ignition sequence from a cold start but it fails to light the burner on subsequent ignition attempts. In this situation, replace the valve coils. I Had the same problem with mine and I fixed for like $25.00 US. Its not hard to do look at the video. Either buy your part from them or to get it fast and not out of this world go to "repairclinic.com
