SOURCE: samsung fridge RS2630SH, side by side, icing up on freezer.

You have to pull out the sensor from the board and test with tester, both sensor should read the resistance of 10,000 to 20,000 ohms. The reading that you show is very low it means that the thermistor is out of range and need replacement.

SOURCE: freezer temp too high

Air must circulate in the freezer when working properly. I am guessing the recirculating vent in the freezer may be blocked which would not bring warmer air back to the coil to be cooled. As for the door, I theorize there may be too much negative pressure which pulls the door in while you were pulling out ... don't have solution yet.

SOURCE: samsung rs2533sw fridge not cooling

soiunds like the coil on the refrigerator side is iced up.take and open the refrfigerator side and take a blow drier and after removing the 11 screws use the hair drier to slowly melt the icec behind the cover. If you pull too hard and or too soon you'll break the stryofoam ductin that has to be around the coil. then make sure that the drain line is clear reassemble and have a Merry Christmas!

Whirpool wgi fridge freezer, fridge not cooling?

Most frideges get all their cooling from the freezer. There will be a fan and duct in the back of the freezer that pushes cold air down into the fridge. If the duct is blocked with ice or the fan motor has quit. Your freezer will work fine but the fridge will barely cool at all. Check that the fan runs when the compressor is running, ( turn both temp knobs to the highest cooling and leave door open until comp. comes on). If the fan runs your duct is plugged. If not you need a new " Freezer Fan Motor". Most are simple to replace and cost around $100.00.

Fridge temp set to 38 is blinking,,reset unit

I had a similar problem, paid a technician $90 to tell me to defrost the entire unit for 15-20 hours, and now it works like new. It is supposed to self defrost, but with poor circulation in the freezer (simply caused by too much stuff in there) the unit frosts up. This caused a rising temp in the freezer leading to inconsistent temps.

Anyone reading this with a similar issue, save your money and defrost it overnight. You should see a pool of water in the bottom of the freezer after defrost if this was the problem.

Refrigerator not keeping temp.

There is normally a fan in the freezer (usually removing the back panel from inside the fridge will show it [sometimes you need to pull the bottom panel of the freezer off] The panels are normally secured with phillips head screws.). If it doesn't turn, it probably needs replacing. Make sure the coils are not iced over. [unplug while removing panels, then plug back in... the temp will have risen in the freezer so the fan should come on right away].

Make sure that the "vents" in the freezer (bottom of the freezer - in the front back or both) are not covered.

Some fridges have a separate control for fridge temp, make sure that was not moved, or try setting to a colder setting.

Freezer and frige not that cold

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. The fan in the freezer blows air through it. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp ..
If the evaporator coils behind the back panel of the freezer are icing up because of auto defrost failure that will stop the circulation of cold air and eventually affect the freezer too.

check defrost timer, defrost heater, defrost thermostat. In most newer models the timer has been replaced by an electronic control board. If the heater and thermostat are ok it’ll be the control.

You can turn the defrost timer till it clicks and everything shuts down. The heater should now come on. If it does, replace the timer. If it doesn't, check the heater and defrost thermostat. Turn the timer again till everything starts back up to end the defrost cycle.

The freezer is too cold.the highest temp. is 8.we can't go any higher. Our ice cream is so cold we can't scoop it out. we have an RB215LASH bottom freezer.

The fridge (on/off) is actually regulated by the thermostat in the refrigerator section. If the door leaks, it will force the compressor on too often. Otherwise, there is a port where the cold air is delivered (near ice cubes) -try (partially) blocking it with tape
