This is a clogged defrost drain, this unit its fairly difficult to clean and get to, its either clogged with ice or debris but i would recommend service unless you are fairly used to repairing appliances and such.

Hi,

As the weather is getting warmer for many people their freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong. If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.

May be a fan motor problem on the condenser. if no airflow over condenser your unit will just pump hot gas round the system. which means no sub cooling of the gas before it reaches the expansion device ( ie: capilliary tube in your case. Try a little WD 40 on the fan axle.

It does sound like the normal defrost cycle. Aslong as it stays at an average below 12 degrees it is normally working fine. Check to make sure the back air vents and front grille are clean and the fan by the compressor is running when the unit is on. It has to get rid of the heat so it will freeze.
