Error 55 is a major Engine or DC controller issue.

Try spares from salvaged printers. Look for "working pull from damaged unit". Of course reconfirm model and spare compatibility.

Try a different toner cartridge, likely a defective cartridge

10.10 error means it does not recognize the chip on the cartridge or that the seal is still in cartridge need new cartridge

Are you sure duplex option in this model I wont think so, pl verify the product specifications..

Unfortunately laser printers don't work this way. The laserjet 1022 was designed for black and white prints only. In order to do color printing with a laser printer you will need to purchase one that is designed to print in color. The laser printers work a bit differently than the inkjets - the laser printers have 4 toner cartridges, one each for Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black, that work together to print a full color page. With the old inkjets you could just replace a black cartridge with a color one.

So, short answer: Sorry but no you can't make a laserjet 1022 print in color. :)

I would recommend looking at an entry level color laser printer from hp, such as the CP2025 (http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF25a/18972-18972-3328060-15077-236268-3673580.html) if you are looking into purchasing a color laserjet.

You have to print the first side then take those prints and put them back into the paper tray to print the second side (Manual Duplex). If this were a DN model it would have built in automatic duplexing and you cound select "duplex printing" from your print setup screen and the printer would print both sides automatically.

I believe you are being referred to the "Users Manual"
Do you still have the book that came with it?
