Weiser Lock GED1460X15A Antique Nickel PowerBolt Powerbolt Touchpad Electro - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
My Weiser Lock won't completely turn the lock
Good news! Weiser has a lifetime warranty against mechanical defects and problems with the finish (but only a one year warranty protecting the internal electronics). Here's the link to the warranty page:http://www.weiserlock.com/CustomerService/WarrantyInfo/Powerbolt.aspxBut before you pursue that, a few questions and comments. How does the lock function with the door open? If it functions okay, then you need to investigate the alignment between the door lock and the door jamb/strike plate. Also, these locks can be internally adjusted for installation in doors with a 2 3/8" or 2 3/4" backset. Is it off by about 3/8"? if so, check that. Some months ago I suggested that possibility to someone else with much the same problem. He found that a plastic member had disintegrated in that area of the lock and was jamming it up. Here's a link to the installation instructions; you'll see what I'm talking about under Item 2 Deadbolt Latch Installation (Piece B)http://www.weiserlock.com/Support/Faq/50160000000HhmZAAS.aspxA note about PDF files: If you cannot view the installation instructions, you need to first install Adobe Reader. You can get the free download here:http://get.adobe.com/reader/http://www.weiserlock.com/Support/Faq/50160000000HhmZAAS.aspxGood luck--and please leave feedback if this helps!

On my house door lock, I recharged my batterie and now the lock wont work
When it comes to rechargeable batteries there is an unspoken rule to not use them for smoke detectors, clocks, and menial electronics. Only use them for flashlights and stereo systems that you carry on your shoulder. :) All you can do is make sure that the batteries are touching all the terminals and that they are facing the right way.

Dead bolt too stiff
If you mean it feels like it's dragging when extended, it probably need to the screws holding the inside portion of the lock to the outside portion and realign those two while actuating the lock to find where it operates freely.

I installed a weiser smartcode lockset and the
2 important things which may seem dumb but solved my problem:
- Make sure that once everything is in place, you hold the lock button before inserting battery pack (and keep holding the lock button) until you hear 2 beeps. The latch should come and go.
- Last but not least, make sure you put NEW batteries in... I had old batteries and when i tried it seemed like is was working but could not finish the door direction finding sequence stated above. Make sure they are new and it should work!

Key pad will not work at all
soak the lock in a container of 90% isopropyl alcohol you can get this at a drugstore for about a dollar a pint then let dry in the sun.I take these apart and spray the parts with alcohol but only try this if you think you can put the lock back together again correctly

I need to reprogram the
First, push the program button on the power board once. Enter the four to eight
digit code by pressing the numbers on the outer touch pad. Press the lock button on the
lock button on the touch pad to set the code. You will hear a two second long beep when
your code is accepted. If the unit does not beep, too much time has elapsed between pressing
the program button and entering the code. Repeat the programming sequence. Enter your number
to check that it works.

The lock button in the
I have installed your Powerbolt, but when I push the Lock Button, it unlocks? What should I do?
First remove the cover on the inside of the Powerbolt
unit. On the right hand side under the batteries, you will notice that
is says "Door Direction Jumper". If the cap is mounted on Prongs 1 &
2, carefully remove it and move it over so that it mounts Prongs 2
& 3. A is right handed, B is left handed.
