My Dyson is not working properly and is under warranty. How can I get my vacuum serviced?

Dyson provides a 1 year warranty. You should get it serviced under warranty before it expires.

Your local Dyson warranty or service center can do this

it indicates that the insulation for the wires is melting from overheating wires
stop using it and take it in to an appliance repair shop for an inspection and proper diagnosis
if it is still under warranty take it to an authorized service agent

Best would be to get a parts and service manual if you cannot do it without one

I'd purse the warranty angle and see what they can do for you first.

As to causes, can you turn the brushbar with your hand? If so, does it turn easily, i.e. maybe your belt is broken. If the brushbar is hard to turn, then look for any obstructions on the brushbar (string, tinsel, etc.) that might be keeping it from turning. Look at the ends and where the belt contacts the bar.

My dyson cyclone assembly will not spin when it...

I have 2 dyson dc07. The cyclone assembly will not spin when dirt is picked up, but when I change them out the vacuum is fine, so I know it is the cyclone assembly. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Dyson DC07 Bagless Upright Cyclonic Vacuum.
It sounds to me that you may have a clog but when you said you changed them out the vacuum is fine, so a couple of things, if the vacuum is still under a factory warranty of 1 or 2 years the cyclone assm still would be under a factory warranty. If it is over the 1 or 2 years then you would have to replace the cyclone assm but you may want to check with the Dyson Factory Tech Support / customer Service line as per the problem, and they can ship you the part from the factory or to check with your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area and they may have one in stock or they can order one for you. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.
