My Samsung side-by-side refrigerator is not cooling.

New gen ref have the cooling coils in the sides for heat dissipation. So, naturally the sides will feel warm sometimes.

The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge.The fan in the freezer blows air through it. Make sure this fan is running. You may have to hold the door switch in for it to run. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp.
The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.

Your defrost system has failed. The ice buildup prevents the fridge side from cooling properly.

I read elsewhere that if you hold the power cool and power freeze buttons down for 12 seconds it will restart the system. I did it the other day (because we were having the same issues) and it has seemed to work for the last few weeks. Frige temp stays at 34F and freezer temp stays at -2F

Questions? Are you sure air is blowing in to the ref side what is the temp in freezer any snow like frost on the rear of freezer compartment?
