Hi there, it's Jack at Dyson.

DC07 has two filters, both engineered to last the lifetime of the machine in normal use. The pre-filter should be washed at least once every 6 months, but the post-filter needs no maintenance.

To wash the pre-filter, just follow the steps shown in the video below. Use cold water without detergent, and allow at least 12 hours for both parts of the filter to dry completely before replacing it.

I hope this helps. If you'd like further advice our experts are just a phonecall away. You can reach the Dyson Customer Helpline on 0800 298 0298 (UK), 1-866-693-9766 (US), 1-877-397-6622 (CA) or 1800 239 766 (AU).

Hi

The DC04 Dyson has a filter at the top, but the DC07 has one at the side on the bottom and one underneath the cylender.

Take all the parts off your dyson and throw them in the washing machine and then put them back together

Do you need to unplug a dyson DC07 in order to reset it?

What do you mean reset? There isnt a reset on the DC07.

If it is stopping mid use, then its probably the motor on its way out or your filters are blocked.

If you visit http://www.sparesaver.com/help-and-support/dyson-section/dyson-technical-advice-450/ they have alot of info on repairing dyson cleaners AND they sell the parts, cheapest ive seen online.

Hope that helps

Dyson DC07 main filter can it be removed to clean?

Yes, remove the dust bin and set it aside. Using a small screw driver gently pry on the lid that the dust bin sits on. you'll see little holes to insert a screw driver and pry back on the lid. Start on one side and pry at the three points to insert a screw driver and then remove the lid and replace the HEPA filter with a new one from EBay, local vacuum store, Dyson direct, etc. That filter is not washable.

Removing filteron dyson dc07 if stuck

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

We would recommend trying to twist the filter in the casing until it becomes loose. Sometimes, there can be a small build up of dust around the edge of the filter which can make it difficult to remove from the casing.

I hope that this information is useful to you.

Kind regards
Darran
