3. Press and Hold Power button
4. Release Reset (with Power still Held)
5. Press and Release Reset button 5 times
6. Release Power button
7. Open Software resetter for this printer
8. Set destination, set Region. Click OK
9. Load paper=1 sheet
10. Clear ink counter = Set OK
11. Printer will print D=000.0
12. Ink Absorber Counter = SET OK
13. Turn off printer.
14. Turn On printer
15. If Cartridge Error is show - press and hold Reset button for 7 seconds

Need to reset wast ink full error .Press the resume button power on printer after 3 Seccond holding press 3 times.

i have my printer canon mp280.. i resset but its doesnt work.. but the problem is error ink code 5b00 and the powers is not on when i resset.. please help me.. thanks

The ink absorber is basically a sponge that absorbs extra unwanted ink during the print process. When it can no longer hold anymore it shows this error. Replacing this is about the same as changing the ink carts for difficulty. You can find the proper one in your manual near the back under supplies and these can be bought at most stores that stock a good amount of printer supplies. You just open the access panel pull out the old and insert new one. The printer will then recognize it is new and will clear your error.
