Which model, The 700wx, 700w, or 700p?

Which Carrier? If other than the 700w (in which case your carrier would be Verizon) then which of the
following carriers do you use: [700wx] Alltel, Bell, Tellus, Verizon or Sprint, [700x] Alltel, Bell, Tellus, Verizon or Sprint, Cellular South?

Take it to your provider and have it activated for Web Enabled Services.

Treo 700P Charging issues

I'm assuming you have problems with syncying also. What I do is turn off the Treo, take out the battery, and unplug the the cord from the USB port. With everything unconnected clean the contacts in the treo, on the outside of the treo and the plug on the chord with alcohol on a Q tip. On the battery only clean with a dry cloth, no alcohol.
Put it all back together and see if you get a better connection. If this doesn't work it is probably your battery.

My 700p

Reboot the PC. If that does not work try reseting the palm. One of these usually takes care of the problem.

Nonworking keys on Treo 700p

make sure first of all that there arent any screws missing or loose in the back by removing the battery cover....thats can cause the keypad buttons to not have a good connection to circuit board... if thats ok then you can use a toothbrush and some alcohol (denatured alcohol if possible) to rub and clean the keypad. If all that fails, I know that Sprint offers repair for their phones.

Operate my old palm pilot? :)

Just put palm pilot instructions into google, preferably with your pilots model number and it'll take you to the Palm Piolt site where you can download a pdf of the relevant manual. Its easier to do it this way than me explain, besides you can then work through it at your own speed. Hope this helps. Happy Christmas

behoney56: The information support page for the Palm Z22 has moved around over the past few years. It is now at http://kb.hpwebos.com/wps/portal/kb/na/zire/z22/unlocked/home/page_en.html As well, I have an entire web page devoted just to maintaining, repairing, and using the Palm Z22, at: http://kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.htm As the Palm Z22 ages, there are issues with old and dying batteries, with the touch screen deforming and becoming useless, and various DATA connectivity issues, since the new Windows 64 BIT Operating Systems did not yet exist when the Z22 was diss-continued. On my web page are links and USER information on the various solutions that they found, as well as a bit of information that I discovered, which is hitherto unknown! The tapping feature on my handhell zire 22 does

Hi rick: There are 3 main problems with the "AGING" Palm Z22, and one of the most common is the failing touch screen. Lucky for you, there are a number of ways of dealing with this, from a temporary fix (emergency) of Freezing the unit, to Heating the screen, to ripping it apart ( no, I am not kidding!), to simply replacing the screen for $9 U.S., (free shipping from Hong Kong).... http://kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.html If you are experiencing touchscreen issues, then you are going to be having BATTERY problems as well, so the information on these, and other issues will help you to get up and running, and stay that way... Recover lost calendar events on a Palm z22

Hi suzbt: JOY's answer, that you try to do a SYSTEM RESTORE on your Computer to get the data back is a really good one, that I did not think of! All manual instructions, and USER instructions on doing a SYNC with the Palm Z22, REPEAT : 1/ Always have a back up of the hard data 2/ Always check all transferred DATA on a SYNC, "Even if it states 'transfer Successful'", 3/ Even, if necessary, write down the data, ... There are a few software programs to identify FILE problems on the Z22, listed on my web page: http://kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.html and ways to recover corrupt data, but these are getting more and more difficult to find and use... User comments on the SYNC indicate that any SYNC is a risky procedure, and backups and re-checking all data is necessary at all times. How can I transfer the data from Z222 to window7

Hello de nicola: I have an entire page devoted just to the Palm Z22, listed below. Many people report issues with trying to connect the Palm Z22 to new 64 BIT Operating systems like Windows 7 and Windows 8, and although somewhat obscure and time-consuming to set up, this can be done. ONE known software company has a 64 BIT driver, which, when used with other software, can get the SYNC functions working again. Another method is to put a VIRTUAL Windows XP on the Windows 64 BIT Systems, and then SYNC using the already working WIndows XP to get the data from files on the "new" 64 Bit Systems, and back... I also deal with battery problems, touch screen problems, maintenance, repair, and upkeep issues, so that you may find the page of value! It is at: http://kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.html I hope this gets your Palm Z22 up and running again, and keeps it that way... good luck robin dusty graves Z22 PALM PILOT transfer-data-from-z222-window7-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-3-0.jpg transfer-data-from-z222-window7-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-3-1.jpg transfer-data-from-z222-window7-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-3-3.jpg

Lost sync cable for palm z22 need replacement

Hi topplady: The SYNC CABLE for the Palm Z22 is just the everyday, ordinary, USB "MIMI" cable that all USB devices like cell phones, MP3 players, etc. used for years. These used to be plentiful in 'dollar' stores, but have been replaced with the "MICRO" plug which is much thinner, so you may have to look around. I find piles of them in "Value" "Thrift" type stores now, since they are falling out of popularity, but they are everywhere if you take the time to look - and, since they are getting obsolete, they are really cheap... You can go online and look for " MINI USB CABLE" on Amazon, eBay, etc. where they are readily available... I have an entire page devoted to the maintenance, up-keep, repair, and connection of the Palm Z22, so you can check it out for more tips, hints, suggestions, and information... at: kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.html Z22 PALM PILOT lost-sync-cable-palm-z22-need-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-1-0.jpg lost-sync-cable-palm-z22-need-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-1-1.jpg lost-sync-cable-palm-z22-need-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-1-3.jpg

My computer went down and I lost my calender info

Hello cskennedy: Many people are asking the same question, as well as how to deal with touchscreen and battery problems etc. I have really explored all the aspects keeping a Z22 up and running, and have a complete web page devoted to this. I am repeating a previous answer below: The support page for the Z22 has moved around over the last couple of years. HP (Hewlett Packard) bought PALM and still has a fairly good coverage of what WAS available. Beware that Windows has gone to 64 BITS with Windows 7, Windows 8 etc, so that older software does NOT immediately work. There are many features of the Z22 such as NEWS and GAME web portals that are shut down, so that peripheral connectivity is at a minimum. HP has the last known working, native, connection software at: http://kb.hpwebos.com/wps/portal/kb/na/zire/z22/unlocked/home/page_en.html On my web page at : http://kidbots.com/WEBADD/Z22_PALM_PILOT/Z22_PALM_PILOT.html I have all the patches, fixes, work-arounds, maintenance, tips and tricks I could find. Hope that this helps you to get your PALM Z22 working and useful once again! good luck robin dusty graves Z22 PALM PILOT computer-went-down-lost-calender-info-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-3-0.jpg computer-went-down-lost-calender-info-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-3-1.jpg computer-went-down-lost-calender-info-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-3-3.jpg computer-went-down-lost-calender-info-cdqazwk5fkdpm30unkbxcrm5-3-6.jpg
