OKI C5100n Laser Printer Logo

Vertical stripes My prob is that my printer has started printing vertical light stripes. Particularly down one side. I have printed 4 pages that have 100% of each of the colour toners on each page to see if it is just one colour that is giving the problem but it happens to c, m, y and k. Have had my printer for just over a year and have had to only replace the k drum. The rest still have 30% life in them. I have replaced drivers, usb cable, cleaned the lenses, checked and cleaned the roller that pulls the paper into the machine, cleaned everything possible and still have the problem. Help!

Excuse my ignorance, where are the print heads? Do you mean the lenses? I have just printed in greyscale and there are no stripes. Does that mean it would be the print heads of the other colours only?

the problem is that it is printing with a horizontal stripe that blurs or fades the coloros.

It sould be the print heads have gone bad.
I just had a Dell color laser that would print a 1" wide yellow line down the right side of the paper.
Replaced the print head unit, and problem solved.

A vertical black stripe is printing on the left side of the page.

Have you tried replacing the toner cartridgein the printer? If you print a page then remove the toner cartridge, carefully open up the cover that covers the the drum on the toner cartrdige. You can often see a line that corresponds to the line printed on the page.
