I need the software driver so that I can download film from the camera to the computer

It looks like the machine was sold under different names. Your problem will be finding Software and Drivers that work on a modern computer. 2009 was 13 years ago and it was made for Windows vista, and Windows XP. It was already addressed here in Fixya.

The camera you describe uses 35mm film and is not a digital camera. You need to take the film to a local film processor (most major stores like Target or Costco can process film) to have the film developed. You cannot directly transfer the pictures from the camera to your computer.

You are in luck! You do not need a driver for this camera to transfer video over the firewire port into your computer. All you need is the appropriate cable and some video editing software. The software can be as simple as Windows Movie Maker (if you are on a PC) or iMovie (if you are on a Mac). Plug your camera into the firewire cable, turn it on and put it in playback mode, then start your video software. Then there should be an option or menu entry labeled "import footage from camera" or "import" or "transfer from camera" or similar, depending on what software you are using.

Buried in the Sanyo Xacti GC9 Users Manual is a description of how to download the software required. (Page 167 lists the steps to access the weblink stored in the camera.)

Here is Sanyo's Support Page for the CG9.

The shorter answer is that the videos are apple quicktime .MOV format, so you need to install free quicktime drivers from here to view them.

u need the dv cable out from the camera , to usb going in to the computer and more than likely the drivers that will probably be needed. Also you will need a certain software program that is compatible...usually comes with the driver.
