Duplex on a HP 2300d

I just installed the printer/printer driver on my computer as a local LPT1: printer, so let's see if this will work to change the duplexing settings.

  1. Click Start > Printers and Faxes or Start > Settings > Printers and Faxes.
  2. Right-click the HP 2300d printer and click Printing Preferences.
  3. Click the Finishing tab.
  4. Check the "Print on Both Sides" checkbox.
  5. Click OK.
You can also access the Printing Preferences dialog box within the application from which you're printing by clicking Properties or Preferences next to the printer's name.

Duplex printing in HP 2420dn

Hi,

I had the same problem. It was due to incorrect properties in the printer settings.

  1. Go to Start >> Printers and Faxes
  2. Right-click on the HP 2420 printer and select Properties.
  3. Go to the Device Settings tab.
  4. Under Installable Options, set Duplex Unit to Installed.
Also, make sure that the Printing Preferences are set to Two Sided Printing:
  1. Go to Start >> Printers and Faxes
  2. Right-click on the HP 2420 printer and select Printing Preferences.
  3. Go to the Printing Shortcuts tab.
  4. Select the Two Sided (Duplex) Printing option.
That should do the trick.

HP - please change your setup so that this is set by default!!

From mac leopard cannot print duplex on minolta qms 3100 printer

Hello, sorry you are having problems,
OK, are you sure your printer supports duplex printing and if you are sure you have the right driver installed, this is how you print in duplex mode on a Mac.
Open the document you want to print, Hit cmd+p to get the print dialogue window you should see this: 46da167.png

Notice you have the option of two sided printing in the same line as # of copies.
If you do not have this option in 10.5.6, then you might have the wrong driver, N.B. you must be sure to select the proper driver when you are creating the printer in the Print and Fax preference. Another way to ensure you have the driver properly installed, go to the manufacturer's website and download the Mac Driver Installer and run the installer, delete the printer you created and then re-create the printer again it should auto-recognize the printer..
What is the Printer Make and Model?
