The card, or memory chip in camera is locked, and i dont know how to unlock it, so now i cant take pictures, or upload my pictures, or even delete photos,i just need to know how to unlock my camera.

SD type cards have a little switch on the card that can write protect or "lock" it. Take the card out of the camera and check this switch. To unlock it, it should be moved towards the edge of the card which has the electrical contacts.

There is also a software protection feature on some cameras, but this is used to protect a folder or individual picture from accidental deletion, not the whole memory. You set or release this protection from the camera menus.

If it is not that, then maybe it is having trouble with the size of the memory. Memory cards have grown enormously in capacity in the last couple of years, and even relatively new cameras may not be able to cope with the memory size of the newest cards. Have you tried formatting the card in the camera? This would be one way of making sure that the camera can cope with the card, and it will also erase anything on the card. "SD" cards larger than about 1GB are actually SDHC cards. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different electrically. Many cameras won't work with SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

Whats Showing when Trying to Open Pictures in Card.You can Open it by Putting card again to PC to view pictures.
If card is Damaged then you cant see it any more...
If card is LOCKED-It need to be Unlocked with Unlock device-then All data will be deleted..
I dont think it is locked....ONLY by just Removing from PC -card will not be Locked...
You can Open it manually...Let me know if you need further assistance...

Take the SD memory card out of the camera and move the small lock switch to the opposite position. That should unlock the card.

If the pictures are protected, see page 43 of this manual.

If it is one of the SD or MMC memory cards, they generally have a small sliding switch on the side that locks the drive from having files deleted or changed in any way.

try this 2nd pt 1:
have u tried getting into playback mode:
press the play button then click menu/ok button
scroll dwn to protect select reset all i think that would fix this problem...

u should also check if the very tiny button on the chip is set to lock its usually white or grey on the side of the chip, for a while i didnt know the thing existed ,LOL

2nd solution pt 2: then see if the pics r protected or not and manually remove the "lock" the symbol for lock is shown then itll change to unlock

not sure why u cant upload
if u have a program u have to "upload twice"
if u get the pics viewable on your pudder u still have to select all (some) and upload them and hope it doesnt crash or ull have to retry make sure u have enough free space and the camera has fully charged batteries
depending on the program u might have trouble uplaoding, (if u have to "manually upload" thats a bit more tricky havent done that myself b4 but my hubs can)
ive had the same problem at times w mine i dont use the program it came w.

Be sure that the Lock switch on the memory card in your camera is set to unlock. If it is unlocked then try and see if you can reformat the card with the camera.
