If you have not yet, try selecting a language.

You may need to do a hard reset. Turn your camera off, then remove the battery and media. Then try to power it on with the battery out and hold the power on for about 15 seconds. Then place the battery and the media back in and power on. The language menu should not be stuck anymore.

If this doesn't work please comment and we can try another solution!

Cheers!

My Kodak P850 do not accept SD cards 4 or 8GB,

Technically speaking, SD cards only go up to 2GB. (Actually, some very rare 4GB SD cards exist, but I doubt you have one of those.) Cards 4GB and up are SDHC (Secure Digital High Capacity) cards. Your camera was designed before the SDHC specs, and thus is not compatible with SDHC cards. This is not something that can be changed in firmware, since there is a hardware compatibility issue.

SDHC devices will accept SD cards, but the opposite does not hold true. SD devices will not accept SDHC cards.

Why does my camera turn off and on when i try to use it?

perhaps the battery is on its end of life. try charging the battery and try again. The lithium batteries are very good. I still have two in working order, but after almost 10 years of use you can't expect they are as new. If you know someone close to you, who has the same camera ask if you can use his battery, to check if the camera will work with that battery. If it does, think of buying a new battery. Because they will not come cheap.

Turns off itself

Please check the batteries and the battery contacts. Also the contact points in the camera. Most digital cameras will shut themselves down, when the battery voltage becomes to low. Just to protect the camera and the memory. If it tries to access the memory, while the voltage is to low, it could damage the pictures already taken. Please also check if there is not any obstruction for the lens. So it can come out of the body freely.
