When you remove the toner and drum unit out of the machine look inside where it was, look up inside that spot where the drum was and you will see a glass window that is about 3/8 of an inch deep and maybe 8 to 9 inches long, it is likely a film of toner is on that glass blocking the laser light from hitting the drum properly. Just use a dry lint free cloth and wipe that glass down and you should be good to go. Remember look up in the spot where the toner was it can be easy to miss it.

Intermittent printing problems

It sounds like the drum unit has a really dirty charge wire. Toner gets on it and hardens and will start arcing, causing blank copies. Try replacing the drum unit

WHEN COPYING OR RECIEVING FAXES THE PAGES ARE BLANK. TONER STILL HAS SOME LEFT IN IT. Is this a bad drum?

Could be or the toner is to low to pick up. DR-200 drums only have copie live of around 9 thousand copies. Hope this helps

We are getting black faxes and dark grey copies

I recommend to clean out an optics. Take apart a cartridge and well blow through, clean the rollers and contacts.

THERE ARE LARGE STREAKS OF INK ON ALL COPIES AND

The green roller is the drum which has a cleaning blade to remove excess toner, when the drum gets older it becomes clogged and will dump toner back out onto the drum. Just some info on it. Best fix is replace the drum, you could take it apart and attempt to dump and clean it but it's rarely worth doing that.

The fax machine is making an unbearably loud screeching sound

that will be the drum unit arching you will probably need a new drum unit. you can try cleaning the drum some times that helps'

PS. remove the toner before you clean the drum unit use compress air and make sure you are outside the house it is messy.

any other question please let me know.

Error 7C

There's no manual for "machine error 7C" in Bro IntelliFax 4100. To fix this issue. You will need to pull out the toner. Note: the toner and drum are connected.....At the left corner of the drum. You will see a blue tab......You will need to slide the blue tab back and forth for 20th times....And put the toner back in its place.....This is just a temp fix but you need to replace the drum to have it working its fullest......

Faxes received are so light, the page looks blank

don't forget to try other fax-paper... your's might have already expired.... if this doesn't work... the printer's heater might need changing.

goodluck... hope this helps.

Brother intellifax 4100 prints full page all black

Good chance the High voltage power supply is bad. Not worth repairing. A new unit costs about 259.00.
