I need installation cd for a Lexmark X63

Access the manufacturer's web-site: http://support.lexmark.com
Enter the model-number of your Lexmark printer, and do a search.
Download the device-drivers for your version of Microsoft Windows.

You can download drivers for the X63 from Lexmark's site here for Windows XP, 2K and NT. If you have a different operating system please post the detailes here as a comment.

Lexmark.com has drivers for all their printers.

DRIVER XP

Does the computer have Windows Vista on it?

If so, that is correct. Lexmark does not have a Vista driver for the X63.

However, many people with Lexmarks (and other non-Vista supported models) have had success using Windows 2000 drivers on computers with Vista installed.

If you have Windows XP installed, or if you have Vista and want to try the Windows 2000 driver, they can both be downloaded here, directly from Lexmark:

Be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing the software. ONLY plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.

you can try the Windows 2000 driver, if that doesn't work, then the printer probably won't work with 98. Maybe a generic driver will.

Follow this link and download the CJXP63LE.exe file , If you have windows XP...if not go back one time and choose another OS.

before connecting your printer to your PC, make sure you have install the driver....
