LEXMARK X63 IS TI POSSIBLE TO INSTALL THIS LEXMARK X63 ALL-IN-ON OFFICE CENTER IN MY NEW COMPUTER THAT HAVE WINDOWS VISTA?

Enter the model-number of your Lexmark printer, and do a search.
Download the device-drivers for your version of Microsoft Windows.

select your os and download driver then install.

To install driver u need the cd..if u dont have the cd...download vista compatible driver from www.lexmark.com .Connect USb cable to computer...make sure printer is powered on..install driver(either by cd or downloaded driver)

Go to the following link and enter in the model of the printer, then select Vista for the operating system. I just installed vista drivers for an X1100 series printer last weekend. Worked GREAT!

If your computer is running Windows Vista this printer may not work. At least Lexmark doesn't offer drivers for Vista. This either means it's not compatible, or that Vista doesn't need any special driver software.

This model printer does not support Vista. Lexmark has not released a Vista driver yet. They only support this model in Windows 98/ME/2000/XP.Does Vista have a ADD PRINTERS Wizard (like XP does)? If so you might try running it and see if Microsoft included built-in support. Or you might experiment with other generic models to see if you can get basic printing features.

You can download drivers for the X63 from Lexmark's site here for Windows XP, 2K and NT. If you have a different operating system please post the detailes here as a comment.

Looks as though you are out of luck for the moment. Perhaps you should approach Lexmark and ask them to write a driver for your printer.

Does the computer have Windows Vista on it?

If so, that is correct. Lexmark does not have a Vista driver for the X63.

However, many people with Lexmarks (and other non-Vista supported models) have had success using Windows 2000 drivers on computers with Vista installed.

If you have Windows XP installed, or if you have Vista and want to try the Windows 2000 driver, they can both be downloaded here, directly from Lexmark:

Be sure to UNPLUG the printer from the PC before installing the software. ONLY plug it in once the on-screen instructions tell you to do so.

you can try the Windows 2000 driver, if that doesn't work, then the printer probably won't work with 98. Maybe a generic driver will.
