OUt of balance during rinse and spin cycles

My maytag top load washer is constantly going out of balance during the rinse and spin cycles. The machine is level and appears to sit properly, what might the problem be?

I have the same problem. During the spin cycle, the washer spins all over the room.....very loudly.

Constant out of balance on washer

Check the inter tub ring you should hear water when you spin it by hand
if you dont hear water replace the spin tub balnce ring it must be cracked or has a hole in it and leaked out the fluid this is a counter balancer when it gows into the spin cycle

Maytag atlantis washer doesnt spin on spin cycle, also found plastic shavings in clothes, appear to be coming from the top outer edge of the tub, a white plastic trim piece. wash cycle seems to work fine...

There can be several causes, the drum off balance would cause the shavings during spin cycle , balance could be one of the the balancing mechanism failed and not running could be the balance sensor shutting down the spin cycle. You should start by checking the balance shocks .

Shreiking spin in rinse cycle

Your pump is probably what's causing the noise . Usually the bearing starting to go out , causing the pump to freeze up , begins with this noise .
