try printing the nozzle check page.. you will be able to see which color that is missing... it should have Yellow , Megenta, Cyan and Black... if any one of the color is missing.. try performing head cleaning and after twice cleaning and still no improvement, very high possibility your print head is clogged..
Did you run a test print? And then check and clean the print nozzles: Make sure there is paper. Press the "Maintenance" button once to display an A. Press Black or Color Let it run its cycles.
If there is still no print: Press "Maintenance" button twice to display an H Press Black or Color Print "nozzle check" Let it run it's cycles.
Still nothing: Press "Maintenance" button until an M Press Black or Color Print "nozzle check" Let it run its cycles.
Still nothing: Replace BOTH cartridges and repeat the first nozzle check. If this doesn't work, contact Canon
Yes, the grayscale option gives you black and white or black tank printing only.
If you go to start menu, control panel, printers, right click your printer there is the option to print test page. In the upper left should be the windows logo in color. If you don't have that and you know you've removed the protective tape for the bottom of the color cartridges and when doing the nozzle checks "you have color?", then you probably need to reinstall your printer driver.

Found the answer. For some reason, my computer accepted a Mac driver. It called the printer Epson Stylus COLOR 880 (M). I went back to the original installation disk; thereafter, I had two printers, one without M, one with M, and deleted the M printer. All is working fine now.

The ink that yuo are change are original epson cartidge ink?If yes , try to head cleaning twice and then nozzle check ,then the result of test print are soild in color are good , the unclean head having plenty spaces within the color in test print.
