My printer refuses to print and continually says "Door is open. Close before proceeding." I have made sure everything is tightly closed and yet this message still shows up.

If you have opened the door and closed it several times, try using a pen or a straightened paper clip to press the switch manually. It's on the right side of the printer. If that doesn't solve the issue, then the door sensor micro-switch has either failed or been dislodged.

If the printer is under warranty, contact Samsung. Otherwise determine if replacing it is better than sending it for repair. You'll probably face a minimum of a $50 charge above the shipping cost (if you don't live near a repair center) just for the diagnostic on the printer. Replacing the sensor requires tearing apart the printer.

I hope this helps and wish that I had better news for you.

(I've been fortunate. The last printer that died with a door sensor error was 9 years old. Replacing the unit was an easy decision for me.)

I get a ghost image when printing

2 things can cause this problem.Since I can not see the problem all I can do is tell both problems. If the image is black like toner in both places then you probably have a defective fusing assembly with coating worn off.It acts like a Teflon skillet with teflon worn off. The eggs stick to where the coating is missing. So with that said if coating is missing from fuser then toner sticks and comes off on the page on the next revolution. The other problem is with the drum/toner cartridge. The drum is not cleaning after the print is put on the page causing the image to repeat on the page.

My samsung ML2525w wont print and it has a solid orange light, Ive looked for a paper jam, but have found none. Please help me.

Take any paper out of the paper feeder and get a plastic ruler the softer the better lift the top of the printer up so you can see where the print cartridges are now push the ruler down through the paper feed roller be careful because you could break the rollers go from left to right right to left twice and check for any debris once you have done this unplug the printer for about 20 seconds then plug back in and let it reset then try copying or printing a doc and see how you go!

Samsung CLP-300 printer is not recognized on any computer. Turns on fine, green light, prints test page offline, but when plugged in USB to either a mac or PC, never recognized. Reinstalled software,...

If you have the green light and test prints OK, check the condition of the USB connector in the back of the printer. The pins inside get damaged by being too close to the wall or something like that, broken connections to the logic pcb, You can solder a new connector on if that's the problem, otherwise you may need a new circuit board.

Same issue

Is it switched on?

Do you have two cables going to it and is each plugged i n at each end?

Have you tried using your "Add New Hardware" setting?

When you installed your printer, did you install it BEFORE plugging it in? Try uninstalling your printer and reinstalling it again (with the printer unplugged) and then follow the directions.

Printer doesn't work

Hi,

it seems to me that you might gotten the wrong driver install in your system.

error page - Position: )x42b (1067) System: h6fwaim_mono/xl_image Line: 132 Version: QPDL 5.04 04-25-2005

do a check on your OS version. Operating system. right click mycomputer icon -> properties.

download the correct version of driver from Samsung website again. uninstall the currect version and unplug the usb cable to the printer.

restart your system, install the downloaded correct version and plug in the usb cable to the printer. do a custom install to serach for the printer. if it does search the printer. it will show you. USB001. after install you will be prompt to do a test page. test on it to see it works.

if it does not work after downloading and install the driver. You might have a mainboad firmware corruption.

to run a firmware update is not easy it might course other major issue. only install by an trained Samsung Engineer.

Hope this Help :)
