Connecting printer Brother HL2170 Laser Printer Installation:Wireless Setup and Driver Install/Step by Step/With Cable/Connecting Your device and access Point/ Gives Error finding devices, more than one wireless device was found./Available Wireless devices window is blank--it says to pick one, but there are none listed. When cable is connected into wireless hub (Westell 327W), the port it is plugged into does not light up on the hub. The cable seems to be OK, because when it is used to plug in another device, the port does light up.

I have a hp photosmart c7200 all-in-printer and have a desktop which it is setup to. I also have a laptop which I'm tring to setup up wirelessly but having trobule. Any suggestions.

Have you run the Wireless setup wizard from Printer ? If No, Press Setup button on printer front panel - Scroll till Wireless/Network settings - Choose Wireless setup Wizard and follow the directions.

After you have setup printer on network - Run the Printer s/w disk and Choose Add a Device and Choose Wired/Wireless network and continue with the Installation screen.

Where can i install brother hl-2040 laser printer

1st You download Printer Driver. Brother Laser Printer Driver After this install the Printer driver in the system.
Installation of Printer Driver

Go to the control panel
Click on the System Icon
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on the Device Manager then
Select the Unknown Device or printer device where yellow Question Marks sign on it.
Right click on it and uninstall it.
After this go to the top of the device manager and click on scan for hardware changes.
Driver installation Wizard start.
Brows Your Driver from the Hard Disk and click on next.
Driver will be install.

Brother 2170W "fails to associate"

Have you tried the SecureEasySetup method of connecting your HL-2170W to your wireless network?

Basically, it involves no wires:

1) Press the wireless setup button on the back of your printer (you may need to use a pen or pointed object)

2) Press the SecureEasySetup button on your router

3) Let the two sort it out - Green Go button on printer indicates success.

Connecting a brother hl2170 wirless printer to a linksys wrt54g

Take note all the wireless settings of the router first. Now go to the printer and Press Menu/Settings, look for wireless setup wizard. It should find the network, highlight it and connect. If it asks you for the network key, type your wireless network key. It only allows WPA-Personal(TKIP) and WEP. If you have WPA2 or AES, it will not connect

Connect to wireless network

plug an ethernet cable into one of the ethernet jacks on the router and the other end into the printer. run driver installation setup on your computer that is connected to the wireless network and choose peer-to-peer networking. let your computer search for the network printer. follow installation instructions to complete.

1. Unplug the cable.
2. Hold the Go button for 10 seconds until the network config page is printed.
3. plug the cable and try it again.
