You may need to override the current selection by selecting next design , then get back to your original design selection again. And this should work. However if still not working, just switch off your machine and after awhile put it on again. Hope this will help.
Needle breaks
1.the needle is damaged
2.the needle is not correctly inserted
3.wrong size needle for the fabric
4.the wrong foot is attached
5.the needle clamp screw is loose
6. Top tension is too tight
7. Machine could be out of time
some times when you break a needle in a sewing machine or serger it can cause the machine to jump time, it would be a good idea to have the machine checked for a timing problem or to see if when the needle broke it caused a problem with another part in the serger.

7. Machine could be out of time--needs to be checked at a repair shop
check to make sure that all the broke needle has been removed make sure there is no part of the broken needle in the bobbin area try putting in a new needle & see if the machine will sew make sure the bobbin is not damaged it's very possible since the needle broke the machine could have jumped time I suggest to have the machine checked to see if the broken needle caused any damage to the machine
I would suggest that you take off the needle plate and check if the bobbin holder, the black plastic bit you put the bobbin into, has become dislodged and moved out of alignment. This can happen if you have a jam up as the holder is held in place with a magnet.
Your manual should show how to remove and clean under it in the cleaning section and there is probably some thread in under it.
It should have a mark on it that needs to align with a mark on the stopper, on the right side I think, and you may find that yours have moved a little out of this alignment.
I'm hoping that this is the problem for you; as its easily solved. After you've put the holder back, just turn it off and wait a second, then switch on and hopefully it will reset. Also check the back of your manual, it should have troubleshooting at the rear which may give a diagnosis on the Error1 message.
