When i select scan the printer scans using photoshop. this didnt happen till recently, how do i go back to just using the printers scanning set up?

Make sure to set the correct paper size when scanning from the ADF. If you're scanning a legal size document, set the paper size to legal.

If it doesn't work, try to reset the printer back to its factory settings:

1 From the home screen, touch Setup (wrench icon), and then touch Use Factory Defaults.
2 Touch Yes.
3 When prompted to set the initial settings of your printer, make your selections using the touch screen.

use the photoshop software and open it go to the menu and click scan doc or just scan.
image would be displayed select the wanted of you doc to scan and click scan button.

open Photoshop software select pic scanning then settings and select default settings it would work. its becoz the pic size exceed the pic allowed in your settings.

u can open canon india website and select your model no. and download the network scanning driver after download u can install your system and use photoshop for scanning, choose online scanning option in your zerox machine and scan through photoshop (click File-Import to canon network gear ver. 2.7. u can use feeder also while scanning

You'll need to select the tutorials depending on how you would like to scan using your printer. Since there are several ways, scanning with the hp solution center software, scanning from paint, scanning from photoshop, etc..etc.. etc.. I can't make it specific.

i press scan button then asking me to select publisher or photoshop, after select both but nothing happen

whatever format it saves the scan in say jpg r click on photoshop and say open with to any jpg on the desktop. There is a tick box that says ALWAYS use this program to open these types of files. Tick the box. It may be a TIFF, gif or another format but the principle is the same

Did you install the full printer driver package?
The printer has to start the appropriate scanning SW on your PC.

Try reinstallying the printer driver, but first remove the printer program.  Then, reinstall everything and try it again.  Unplug and plug the printer in.
