Do I need to adjust bobbin tension when changing stiches

Usually one does not change bobbin tension. Adjusting the tension on the needle thread is all that is required.

It is sometimes necessary to change the bobbin tension but only when changing to an extremely fine, slick thread or to a very heavy, rough thread.

My machine is baby lock.it suddenly got a problem.it is: it sews a few stiches and stops and it goes on like this

here are some suggestions, if the suggstions don't help then it
would be a good idea to have the machine check to see if something
in wrong with the computer part of the machine
1. change the needle--make sure it's the right needle for the fabric
2. rethread the machine top & bobbin,,make sure to use every
thread guide
3. make sure the bobbin is turned the right way in the bobbin case
4. clean under the needle plate & in the bobbin area for lint

I have a janome 8050 sewing machine. It has started making loose stiches underneath and making a noise. I have changed the needle, bobbin, thread, cleaned the bobbin area. It will not make any stiches at...

The key to proper stitches is that tension on the bobbin must equal the tension on the upper thread spool as well. The bobbin has a tension screw that may have come loose or the thread is not properly in the tensioner. For example, the bobbin could be in backwards. Or the tension of the top could be too light and allowing the tension on the bottom to pull the thread down too much.
Open the bobbin tray and watch while you slowly rotate the hand control to see it make a stitch.
You will probably be able to figure out what is wrong.

Sewing machine not making stiches

At first, my machine was getting all tangled under the fabric and then would stop working because it was tangled in the bobbin area. Now the bobbin area is staying clear but there are no stiches being made. I have no idea what to do. [email protected]
