No power to Samsung SMH7159 Microwave

Samsung Microwave SMH7159 won't work after a power outage. Tested plugin, it's good. Replaced fuse, that didn't fix it. When I plug in the microwave to the outlet the power fan plate comes out, but no lights on the touch panel.

There is more than one fuse. Look for a second one.

SOURCE: GE Spacemaker XL1800 (JVM1860WD 002) Stoped Working.

The control panel has built-in surge protection, and the high voltage probably tripped that. It will have to be repaired, which we do nationwide for only $39.95 postpaid. By rights, I would say the electrician should be the one to see to the repairs, including removing the control panel assembly to send in for repair. We have *critical* safety & disassembly info at our site, which is linked at our listing here on FixYa: http://tinyurl.com/yzjozk You can find helpful exploded view diagrams by entering your full model number (without the suffix) here: http://tinyurl.com/gv383 Please let us know if you have any other questions.

SOURCE: No power but outlet is functioning properly

There is a ceramic fuse inside the oven. Remove the case and follow the cord from the back of the oven to the fuse. Replace with on of the same amp size.

SOURCE: GE JVM1190SY/WY My microwave shows no signs of

Dead appliance, power on wall outlet.

YOUR SAFETY IS PARAMOUNT!

Attempt this only if you are competent.

If your appliance has absolutely no functions at all, remove it from the mains supply, remove the case and see where the mains lead goes in to the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
The usual cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the appliance.
Hope this helps.

Samsung Microwave Oven SMH7159 No Power

The power outage may have been accompanied with a power surge. That can happen with lightning strikes, or if a large inductor (electric motor or equivalent) happened to be on the same power line at the time of the outage. There's a good chance a surge took out the control panel.

Grandson came up under it and caused the hinges to not hold the door shut

If the door doesn't work right it is time to buy another microwave. Microwave leaks can be dangerous.

Samsung smh7178std won't heat, replaced fuses, connections, tested transformer, tested capasitor,

probably the magnetron could also be the diode on the capaciter. they have a 7 year warranty on the magnetron.

I have Problem with my microwave

it may be just a fuse , but if the fuse inside the microwave blows again then there is something else wrong and it would need to be tested to find the problem and fix it
so the fuse inside needs to be check and or replaced and if the microwave powers and works ok after replacing the fuse , then the other fuse was just bad

Power outage now microwave won't work

Most likely blew internal fuse. Pull the top/side cover off and check the line fuse. It should be behind the control panel in that area.

The Microwave stopped heating

Probably magnetron failure- needs to go back to the dealers, this is a major job, may be cheaper to replace the oven

Microwave door

It sounds like the mount which holds tension on your door latch heads (door hooks) is broken. You can confirm that by pushing up on the door hook. If it goes up with no real resistance, the spring is unhooked. Fixing that would require disassembly of the door (by separating the panels) and repairing or replacing either the door hook assembly or the door panel inside.
