Hi, try the microwave in another outlet, if it works there then the first outlet is bad but if the microwave does not work in another outlet then the microwave is faulty and you need to take it back to the store and get another one as a replacement...
CHECK THE MICROWAVE MANUAL LOOK FOR FACTORY WARRANTY ,MUST BE A BAD COMPONENT ,IF YOU MICROWAVE IS UNDER 1 YEAR WARRANTY THE FACTORY WILL REPAIR IT AT NOT COST TO YOU..CONTACT GE FACTORY.
If it came installed in the house, it may have its own breaker switch. I'd check the breaker. Have any outlets in the kitchen gone out as well? This would support the breaker switch idea.
all...you should first check to make sure the outlet you're using is good. Really. Next, check internal fuse and thermosafety in the unit. They are both found inside the button area. The safety is about the size of a dime and 3/8 inch thick with two wires. Sometimes they open. They should be continuous. Not it? Let me know.
