The screw might be hitting a live wire in the wall which is very dangerous! Make sure there are no live wires where the mounting goes.

Usually after you remove the 4-6 necessary screws you should be able to give it a jerk downwards (carefully) as not to rid any wires. Most microwaves have little notches and hooks that are not too difficult to work through, but it's just finding th

The SE error code indicates that you have a stuck key on the control keypad or a failed electronic control board. A technician will probably need to diagnose and repair this type of failure. microwaves are inherently dangerous to service.

Microwaves only have a couple of things that can be simple to fix, One is the high voltage diode and the other is the capacitor. If it is not one of those then you need to order parts which might not be available for something that old. You need to tell us if it is completely dead or you have display. Could be a fuse inside if you dont have a display. Otherwise they can be dangerous to work on.

There are different variants why it stopped working properly. I've experienced kinda similar situation, however I'n not that smart in techs to try to fix it. So, I just bought a new one. By the way, I've had only brand models for the couple of years, however I decided to try buying something more affordable, but still qualitative. I've been browsing in searchings for the best budget variant when I came across https://readyresearch.com/best-microwaves-under-100/ . This article consists of the list of best microwaves "under 100", the buyer's guide and even FAQ is provided for the common questions, so everything you need to know before making a decision is gathered in one useful article. I've bought Nostalgia RMO7RR Retro Microwave which matches all the characteristics it was given there. Just look at that red color! Perfect choice. I suggest you try to look through this page and pick sth with lower price. At least it wouldn't be as disappointing as if brand model breaks down, so just check it!

Sounds like the switch(es) below the keypad pad(s) are sticking or failing. Unfortunately, replacement keypads tend to be expensive, perhaps too expensive for the value of the oven. Search for replacement parts by your Make and model.

Hi cbrophy91,

On Samsung microwaves the SE error code flashed on display means "Sensor Error". This means that your humidity sensor has shorted and needs to be replaced. You will need to uninstall the entire unit and remove the outer shell to access the sensor that needs to be replaced. It will be mounted somewhere around one of the vent on the cavity of the microwave. You may contact Sears for the replacement part at 1-800-252-1698; M-F 6:30 AM-10:30 PM - Sat 7:00 AM-9:30 PM - Sun 7:30 AM-9:30 PM - All times Central.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for using FixYa.
