The Canon IR105 is capable of printing UP TO 105 pages per minute. this will vary on the type of document you are printing. You might try converting the PDF documents to another format to see if you get improvement on the output speed. It is possible that the PDF format requires additional processing to reproduce the page which in turn translates into a slower replication rate.

You mentioned you already have tried several drivers, so if you are using the correct driver, you should be getting the maximum printing rate the macine is capable of. You might also check the PDF print properties to see if there are any settings you can tweak that which will produce a faster rendering speed without affecting document quality loss.

Remember that printing, either direct or over a network also is dependant on the system or machine transmitting the print message. I had this same problem and when I contacted Canon, my support rep reminded me of the "UP TO" phrase. Personally, I find the advertisement to be misleading however correct.

this model pdf output is slow. no way to come fast.

this machine came with a fairly slow processor and small amount of memory so if the size of the file you are printing is larger than about 1mb it will slow the spool down considerably

I had the same problem for printing pdf documents too slow with HP Laserjet 1200 :

Here's the fix: Open a pdf document go to File > Print> Advanced> check the box Print as image, use 300 DPI...that should do it.
