I ran out of paper, simple right? I loaded more paper and now it won't grab and feed the new paper. It just makes screaching noises and tells me to add paper. There is nothing stuck. ?????

It probably needs to be cleaned. There may be bits of paper stuck in the mechanism. In addition, if the printer is old or has been used a lot, the rubber on the feed rollers may need to be cleaned and roughed up a little bit to grab the paper more firmly when feeding it through. Also, when you load paper, don't load too much, and flip the sheets in the ream before you insert the paper to allow air to get between the sheets, making it easier to feed a page.
Clean the paper feed with alcohol and a paper towel by rubbing and rotating the drum. Wait for it to dry completely then it should grab the paper. Also make sure paper is free from dust. Good luck!
Push something thicker than a plain sheet of paper through. Cut a side of a manilla folder into a 8.5"x11" and let the printer try to grab it during a copy. After doing it's normal "grab the right side until it's skewed and stop", continue to try to push it through.
There are paper feed from begining to end Im gonna say this is a manuel to static printer this is simple in the sense that you do not need to really do anything accept keep it clean. When you drop the paper in the printer you need too let feed dont stick it in there let it sit in the carrier and the printer should grab it if not You may have gotten a lemmon Take it back and tell them HEY IM NO ******!!!!!!!! You know that
Try cleaning the rollers again and fan the paper. When you clean the rollers, use alcohol and a lint free cloth. Don't put too many sheets in the feed tray.
try cleaning the rubber rollers with a damp cloth and make sure there clean. also check to see if the paper is making contact with paper.
if that fails check the leading edge of the paper for damage incase something maybe blocking paper.
Either the pickup roller needs to be replaced,(a maintenance kit) or the tray isn't pushing the paper high enough to grab. Tyr loading a few more pages in the tray and making sure the tray is seated properly. Then try replacing the roller.
Sounds very similar to my problem. In my case the Feed Switch ( Button on front console) got changed to load from the front tray, although paper was in back. I hit feed switch and changed to rear tray. Now it loaded and printed.
