ok my aussie compatriot your problem is mainly the battery not being fully charged on the ac charger, it also needs a clear view of the sky. most tomtoms have an external antenna port mmcx but dont buy thoise cheap 28db units as they are trouble, go to Marbella Australia and get one of their 50Db external mouse antennas and that will help
tremendously. Perhaps dump your tomtom while your at it as they are nothing but trouble. just check the numer of issue son this forum.
