Xerox phaser 8500 error code 09, 038, 46:4597

Ink count sensor flags are stuck after melting 2.5 ink sticks. The following codes are recorded: 9,03x.41, where x= 5 for cyan, 6 for magenta, 7 for yellow, and 8 for black. (Your error indicates black ink loader failure)

Features on the bottom of genuine Xerox ink sticks actuate the Ink Out Sensor located at the forward end of each ink channel of the Ink Loader. The sensor indicates the passage of ink to provide a count of ink consumption.

Damaged or non-genuine ink sticks may not reliably actuate the sensors. This can lead to false Ink Out messages as well as Ink Stick count faults. Using 8400 model ink in a 8500/8550/8560 models will also cause 9,03x.4x ink stick count faults.
Ink Loader will need replaced and then diagnostics entered to run "Clear ISC Fault" test to clear the error.

I have 2 xerox 8560 printers with error codes

One of your ink sticks is not moving down into the ink loader properly.Either one is cracked, twisted or otherwise not moving down the loader. I think the .46 means its a black stick.

Printer Error 09,038.46:3536

That code means the black stick is failing to advance in the printer.
What you want to do is open the area where you load the ink and check your black sticks in particular. The .46 in that code indicates the machine is not detecting the black stick at the borrom of the ink loader. You probably just need to loosten up a stuck block. Sometimes one cracks or gets twisted in the loader.
If you have to remove the blocks take a screw, I use a dry wall type screw to twist into the block and slide them back and out when needed.
You could possibly have a bad sensor in the ink loader, but that is highly unlikely.

ERROR PROBLEM

Do not use the ink sticks if they have a hairline crack in them. They eventually crack and jam the printer. So far I've only noticed this with the black ink sticks. 5a7294b.jpg

System error on Xerox 8560MFP error: 09, 038.46:14418

Bkack ink stick is most likely stuck in the loader.
I would suggest checking all the sticks for being cracked twisted or otherwise stuck.
If you need to remove them take a screw like a drywall screw and twist into the stick and slide it out and back. I think the .46 means a black stick, but at any rate, one of the ink sticks has not loaded all the way down the ink loader.

Xerox 8650mfp system error code 09,038.46

That means the black ink stick in the ink loader is not advancing. Open up the area when the ink sticks are and check in particular the black sticks. One of them is either cracked , twisted in the loader or sticking and not advancing down into the ink loader. If you happened to have loaded an ink stick from the wrong model phaser printer, the difference in shape will not allow it to actuate the sensor at the bottom of the loader.
If you have to remove them I would suggest getting a screw, A drywall type screw is best, and twist it into the ink block and slide it back and out.
99.99 percent of the time reloading the sticks, or removind a cracked/broken one will fix your problem. I have never actually seen a bad ink loader, but it is possible, though very very unlikely.
the third number, the 46 . means the problem is with the black stick..

Xerox Phaser DN error code 09,036,44:2976

Hi, Yep, that's normally an easy one. That code means one of your ink sticks, I think the .44 means magenta, but, one of the ink sticks has not advanced downward properly into the ink loader.
One of the ink sticks has twisted, cracked or otherwise for some reason is not advancing downward into the bottom of the ink loader to melt. Look in there and see where there is a gap. If you need to, take a screw, like a drywall screw and twist that into the ink stick if needed, then slide it back to remove.
If its just stuck then push it down to the proper position.
If you somehow loaded an ink stick for the wrong machine, the different shape will not allow it to actuate the switch at the bottom of the ink loader and will have to be removed.

May need a new ink loader.
May just be a weak spring loading the ink, or you have a ink stick that is just stuck , not pushed into position.
sideways. Or did someone try to load a piece of a stick?
