You will probably have to remove the left side cover and clean some spilled ink from around the waste tray.
That normally is what causes that.
There is a tray lock on the machine, but I personally have not seen that be an issue.
If there is a lot of ink in the machine. make sure after you clean it out, that you level the machine front to back and side to side. You do that by placing a level on the glass and level it up by that.

you need to use the carrier (cardboard cover) that the lamination paper comes with.. if you dont use the carrier your plastic will stick to the hot rollers... you will need to take it apart and clean out the plastic.. easy to dow hen it is cold peels off easily... pain in the neck getting it back together as the wires in the front interfere with the front screw post...

are you using the correct driver? If you are printing from an Apple Mac you need to load the postscript driver other wise install the pcl6 driver

it may be the cartridges are dried up from being stored incorrectly take them back get new ones to rule that out first !! Hope this helps!!

Contact Xerox at 1-800-835-6100, They WILL replace it for free. It is a known problem.
I really believe that display is failing. very common problem.
Just tell them the display is blank when you call. But they are faulty. Very faulty.

This is an electronics problem. The voltages are 20% off from expected values.

Try running the machine plugged directly into the wall, with no other equipment on the same circuit. This is how you should run this printer, whether this solves the problem or not.

If it is the wave amp it is a somewhat affordable part.if it is the EM you should replace the printer. It isn't worth the fix.
