Laser error 061-370, can I solve this problem ?

  • nigelbs Apr 06, 2009

I too have this problem which has appeared today on my Phaser 6125. I've turned the printer off, waited the instructed 10 seconds, and turned it back on again. everytime I do it, it prints the Printer Settings sheet quite happily, and then lapses into the same Laser Error 061-370 message and stops working.

So far I've found Xerox and their website most unhelpful.

    Any one got any ideas?

My Xerox Phaser 6125 smears black (!) toner, extra obvious and totalley unacceptable on double sided printed sheets. Different types of paper all show the same problem.

This would normally be the cleaning unit to blame. If in doubt go,to the Xerox.com website and investigate further.
Good luck.

I have a Xerox Phaser 6110 laser printer. When I try to print, I get Transfer Belt Error. When I go into the Troubleshooting Guide, it states that I get an Internal System Error. I have already tried to...

The "Transfer Belt" error shows up after the printer has printed 60,000 pages. At which time the belt needs to be replaced.

You can try resetting the count, which may clear the message:

1. Enter Service Mode by pressing [MENU] [#] [1] [9] [3] [4]2.
If you do not see the Tech Mode menu press the menu button again. (You need to enter the key sequence quickly.)
3. Select Tech Menu
4. Select DataSetup
5. Arrow to Clear Counts and press Enter6. Enter Password 19347. Arrow to Transfer Belt and press Enter.
The display will show Clearing Counts and then return you to the Tech Menu. Press exit several times to exit the Tech Menu and then power cycle the printer.

An internal error has occurred. Turn the printer off and on. If the problem is still there the laser needs to be replaced. If the machine is less than a year old then the machine will be fixed under warranty.
