Another possiblity is that a sock or other piece of laundry is blocking the pipe to the filter/pump.

When the washer stops is there still water in it? Do you hear any noise coming from the drain pump which might indicate it is working/

Check your lid switch a pin on the lid should go into a hole on the top or, in some models a magnet is used if the lid switch is not depressed (lid closed) it will not spin (safety device) I insert a pen or, screwdriver into the switch hole to test be carefull though because it may spin with the lid open

Washer won t fill water

pipes maybe clear but is your area wher you live prone to limescaling? where the water pipe/pipes go into the machine there is a switch to shut on/off the flow of water during whatever cycle you want.this might be blocked or sticking. first try to select different cycles and see if any of those fills the machine with water. if no water comes its one of two things. that switch is faulty or communication between the switch and the front consule is at fault.
contact your supplier after trying to go thru a few different cycles.

Washer will not cycle

The cycle doesn't advance When the cycle doesn't advance, it's probably the timer or a cold-water supply problem:

  • It's the timer, if your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

  • It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water. See There's no cold water.

Kenmore front-load washer stops at rinse cycle

When the washer initially fills for the wash, is it only hot water entering the drum? Try switching the water temperature between hot and cold as it fills. If any of them show little or no water getting through, it sounds too easy but check to make sure water supply taps are on, and that the cold/hot fill hoses aren't reversed. Remove the fill hoses and check any of the screen filters for blockage (in the hoses and in the inlet water valve). When the machine stops and waits to fill but all you hear is a hum, it sounds like there is power going to the valve but water is not able to get through it.
    Good luck!

    Frigidaire FTF530F won't advance

Possibly the timer. next time it wont stop filling turn off the washer. if it still fills you have a water valve issue. Hope for the valve. Timers are big bucks.
