First check all the cables make sure they are plugged in Second make sure the input is set to tv or whatever input goes to your cable box

The main ac filter board is the usual cause when the power light doesnt light up. You can get a replacement AC filter board from www.tvrepairworld.com

battery could be gone..also you could check wire connections to battery. Even better measure if the battery has a charge with a voltmeter.

It had nothing to do with the coffee pot. I blew a breaker!
