Ink Catridge I owmn an epson cx3700 all in one printer. I tried to refill ink cartridges but I can´t reset the printer to accept them. The ink refilling kit comes with an address(www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml)that provides the instructions to do so, but the page can´t be opened.

It may be a paper jam error. I find when you use an old or rough page in your printer, it don't properly go to its way and cause to displace a sensor that is situated at under the Head carriage of this printer which can be seen in following pictures.
Solution: check if this problem is occurred after paper jam then check the sensor is on its proper place or not if not then open the printer upper cover, open the lock of carriage rod from both sides. Set the sensor at its proper place and then check it.

Install your cartridge into the Epson printer.Go to "Start > Control Panel" on your computer.Double-click on "Printer.Right-click on the icon of your Epson printer and choose "Printer Preferences" at the bottom of the dialog box.Click on the tab entitled "Speed and Progress" and see the Epson printer monitor box.Check off the box that says "Disable Epson Status Monitor" to turn off the ink monitor.Click "Save" and close the windows. Your cloned ink cartridges should now work.
Epson may also display an error message if you refill the ink cartridges.

Epson TX400 is so sensitive in terms of ink cartridges, you can only replace a refilled ink cartridge in this type of printer if the cartridge has an automatic ink reseter chip. When you replace a cartridge in your printer, it will automatically register the ink level in the chip. So you need an ink reseter chip to replace a new refilled cartridge.

HP does not recommend refilling thier tanks, their print heads are built in to the cartridge so if you refilled it before resetting the tanks you will have to go to www.hp.com and run the trouble shooting tool for free to fix your issue. you may have to replace the catridge.

Hi Edulfo - my advice is to buy compatible cartridges. These are not refills but new cartridges that will work in your printer, but are not made by Epson. See your local e-bay site for very low cost cartridges of this type.

In addition, there are "Continuous Ink Supply Systems" (CISS) which replace the cartridges with bottles of ink. See:

I have the same problem. According to another site I visited you will not be able to solve your problem by refilling the 28 cartridge (black ink). You will need to purchase a 28A ink cartridge which is refillable.

New ink comes with a strip attached at the ink hole and sensor area, makes sure u ermaove them also try to clean the catridge contacts in the printer
