Hp 6p paper jam

When printing multi page prints from tray 2, i will get a paper jam light and printing stops after second or third page with that page half out and the next in the paper path. No jam has actually occurred. I have cleared and cleaned the path, sensors and verified the flags are positioned correctly and functioning properly. The fuser was exchanged for one that is working to no effect. all rollers are clean and functioning, including the soft squishy ones in the back. Any ideas on what to check next. Oh, when printing from tray 1, I can print all day without any problems.

SOURCE: error 13-jam paper HP Laser 4+

HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus and 4m Plus Series Printers - False Error Message 13 PAPER JAM ISSUE: After clearing all jammed paper from the HP LaserJet 4, 4m, 4 Plus, or 4m Plus series printer, the display still reads 13 Paper Jam . Even after cycling the power off and then back on, the error remains. SOLUTION: Open the rear door of the printer. There is a paper sensor near the upper right hand corner of the fusing assembly (just below the right edge of the long yellow warning sticker on the fuser) that can cause paper jam error messages even when there is no jammed paper in the printer. Toggle the thin black plastic lever up and down to make sure it is not stuck or sticky. The lever should be in the down position before closing the back of the printer. If the lever is stuck or missing, the printer will generate a false paper jam message. Hope it will help you !

SOURCE: My HP LaserJet 2430dtn Paper jam

Try this, make a print from the by-pass tray, does it go OK or jam??
If it jams then there is a problem with the paper feed from the tray.
If it jams then
1-check the drum and see if there is an image on it( you can put a mark on the edge to see if it's rotating, thus eliminating the drum unit)
2-same for the reg roller
3-check for labels ar foreign objects

SOURCE: 4350dtn 41.3 error..help!

It sounds like the registration switch actuator is being held down too long.

Also check registration clutch and make sure cassette tray is lifting all the way up and feed rollers are "snapped" in tight. Good luck.

Weird problem!

SOURCE: HP laserjet 5500dn paper jam at fuser

Hi,
I was able to fix my problem. On the left side of the fuser assembly there are two small plastic tabs or flags that move up & down. One is attached to the plastic rod/flap that you can see from the top of the fuser and moves when the paper comes out of the "chute". The other tab, which is below the first tab and moves when the paper has passed some point in the fuser, was broken off. I glued the tab back on and now the paper is ejected from the printer like it is suppose to.

I'm thinking that the broken tab was part of a page sensor flag that would tell the printer to stop rolling the fuser assembly when the paper was ejected. Without the flag, the sensor would disengage the fuser prematurely and stop ejecting the paper while the paper was still in the fuser.

I have an HP LaserJet4 and I'm suddenly (as of last evening) getting a 41.3 error code followed by a 13 Paper Jam. I clear the jam, warming up, blank page is ejected, I put the printer back on line,...

41.3 - points to a miss match in the paper tray.
First -
Pull out your paper trays, take the paper out and confirm the guide in the back is set to the correct position. (The little mechanism on the tray which allows you to use different paper types, example letter to A4).

Second -
The other which may have happened it the paper handling was mis-configured on the machine:
- Press the Menu Button on the machine.
- Using the + and - button go to the Printing Menu.
- Select Paper confirm that the paper size is correct for the trays within the machine.
Third -
- Depending on the document you are attempting to print make sure the document type is either adjusted to the type of paper your using or to load the correct paper into the machine. I seen where people send you a legal document and your attempting to print it on letter.
Fourth -
It could be a driver related issue, 98% of the time this is not the case. If all fails above, then attempt this.
Let me know if this helps!
Lastly it could be a driver related issue, however if more than 1 person uses it don't count on it.

Prints one page double sided, then goes to error light and stops printing

what is the error ?
does it says Paper jam, Open the print cover and remove paper jam..

If this the error repeating then make sure,

1. u r not overfilling the paper tray
2. put the printer on a hard surface (not on a half out surface)
3. from now on be gentle with the paper tray.
4. unplug the printer everytime u r done or atleast overnight.

thanks

Duplexing jams

Some of the rollers inside the printer have becomes slick with paper dust on the surfaces of the rollers. There is a printer cleaner paper available at most office supply stores and online. It is sticky on both sides. You run a sheet through the printer a couple of times and it removes the dust from the rollers. In your case, run the paper through the duplex unit too.

Hp psc 1315 paper jam

Hi,

. Switch off the printer and disconnect the power supply. Allow any residual charge inside the all-in-one printer to dissipate before putting your hands or any metal tools inside the chassis.

2.
Pin down the exact location of the jam. The 3 hot spots for a jam are before a sheet completely leaves the paper tray, anywhere between the feed tray and print carriage or between the print carriage and output tray.

3.
Take off the front paper tray if the sheet jammed while still in the front area of the printer. If here, you should be able to see most of the paper.

4.
Pull the sheet with both hands and steady pressure. Do not tug as you might rip the paper, leaving a piece deeper inside the machine.

5.
Open the back panel to reach paper jammed between the feed-tray area and print carriage. Carefully remove the jammed paper.

6.
Use the carriage access door to get at a jam further inside the printer. You may need to remove the print carriage to get to the jam.

7.
Replace all parts and return any access panels to their closed and locked positions. Plug your printer back in and flip the power switch.

The top orange light is on

2 possibilities

1 It is trying to make more than 1 copy and the second one is jamming as it's picking up the paper ( clean tires)

2 it's set to legal instead of letter.
