Printing backwards mid-job?

My Kyocera 2050 will occasionally print duplex pages in the opposite order mid-job. If I have a 30 page file, send it to duplex, it will print the first few in the right order (1-2-3-4 etc) but then will do it backwards (4-3-2-1), or sometimes just randomly, so that all the pages are in the wrong order. Why on earth is it doing this?

The ram in your kyocera is going bad... there is also the possibility (if you have an internal hard drive) that your internal hard drive needs to be reformatted... consult a service tech in your area...

thehre is also the off chance that its a power problem... get a good power conditioner or surge protector and see if that helps before calling the tech...

How to stop Lexmark C540dw printing instructions for two-sided printing

I had same issue. I checked two sided printing, but wanted it to take the paper back in to the printer automatically. I did not have the duplex option selected in properties and it was showing how to do it by feeding the pages manually. Go to printer properties and printer preferences and I think the tab labeled page layout, you may have to select the advanced button to find the 2-sided options for flipping short end or long end. (you want flip on long end if you want the top of page 2 to be on the opposite side of page one. Other wise, flip on short end will put the top of page 2 opposite from the bottom of page 1). however, AUTOMATIC 2-sided printing will not work unless your model has the duplex printing feature. In that case you just need to go to properties and un-check two sided printing and check one sided printing. That way it will not keep wasting paper and showing you how to do it manually. So you don't have to do it for each print job make sure you change it in printer preferences so it does not keep trying to do 2 sided printing. If there is a job you want to print 2 sided then just select it in properties for that particular print job.

Can I print on both sides of the page

Here are the instructions for duplex printing.

The duplex printing function allows you to print data on both sides of a sheet of paper.

The procedure for performing duplex printing is as follows:

1. Open the printer driver setup window, and check the Duplex Printing check box on the Page Setup tab.

2. Select Normal-size Printing (or Fit-to-Page Printing, Scaled Printing or Page Layout Printing) from the Page Layout list.

3. Specify Staple Side.

The printer analyzes the Orientation and Page Layout settings, and automatically selects the best staple position. Check the Staple Side setting. If you want to change the setting, select another value from the list.

4. If necessary, click Specify Margin... and set the Margin width.

5. Click OK.

sub.gifIf a media type other than Photo Paper Plus Double Sided is selected for Media Type on the Main tab:

When you execute print, the document will be printed on one side of a sheet of paper. When printing is complete, reload paper according to the displayed message and then click OK. The document will be printed on the opposite side.

How may i print for Both Side Printing?

Hi,

Both side printing depends on the printer. It's a feature which require a hardware in the printer known as Duplexer. Which automatically turns the paper and prints on the other side. Some printer may not come with duplexer but if they support duplex printing, you can but the duplexer for the specific printer and attach it at the back of the printer.

If your printer supports duplex printing, when you click on print, click print preferences as shown in the fig 1 below.

Fig1

Click on finishing tab >> put a check on Print on both sides under document optoins section

Click Ok to close the preferences window

Click Ok to send the print job to the printer

Below is the series of images showing how to connect a duplexer.

Kyocera Mita 2050 there are streaks of toner appearing on the pages printed.

If you send a print job or print a report from the copier and there is no streaks then the problem is most likely the thin **** glass to the left of the large glass. It just needs to be claened.

If the streaks are happening when printing and copying then the problem is most likely your drum unit (MK-410) or possibly the fixing unit (FU-410), the fixing unit is the one that gets hot.

As the drum gets old it can cause print/copy issues and the cleaning blade that cleans the drum gets to the point it doesn't clean the drum properly causing streaks.

The heat roller has a teflon coating on it and as the roller gets older the teflon starts to come off and can effect prints/copies.

The drum unit should be replaced every 150,000 pages and the fixing unit every 300,000 pages on the KM-2050.

I hope this is helpful,
Shawn

How do I use my printer as a duplex for making copies on both sides? Thanks Roxanne

The printer does not support duplex coping. If you want to do manual duplex copying, you can make a copy of the first page.
Then reinsert the paper upside down in the manual tray or paper tray, fil the page on the document feeder and make the back copy.

Kyocera printing very slow

Has it always been slow, or is that a recent development? At its fastest, the FS-2000 only prints 31 pages per minute, and that's for regular single-sided 8.5" x 11" with no special requirements. Anything else will (thick paper, longer paper, duplexing, etc.) will slow the print speed down.

One thing you can try to speed up the print speed is to change your spool options in the print driver. Go into the print driver (Control Panel > Printers & Faxes, right click on the FS-2000 and select Properties) and find where the spool options are located. Try selecting different spool options (such as waiting to send the job until all the pages have spooled, or sending it page by page) to see if any of them affect printing speed.

There are other options in the print driver's properties which could affect printing speed as well. Look around the different tabs and try changing some of the options to see if they make any difference.

You can also go to Kyocera.com and download and install the newest version of the print driver, which might speed up processing as well.

Hope that helps!

I think your problem is that the 5550 supports manual duplex printing. Print every other page then feed them through again. Never tried it though. Dave Reed
