My printer is not working because I keep getting a notice on my computer that tells me my waste adsorber is full and needs replacing and to contact the services.....can you tell me what to do now or how do I do it please

Hi. I guess your printer is showing the ink adsorber are full warning. The ink adsorbers are located in the bottom of the printer . Practically you need to disassembly and remove all mechanism. The process is complicated even to technicians. I recommend to you to get a new printer

Manual reset for canon pixma iP 1980 it easy and like resetting canon
ip 1880.If found problem in your printer canon iP 1980 maybe this
methode can be use. This reset manual be used to reset waste ink
counter in canon pixma iP 1980.
Here how :
Turn on your printer Canon Pixma iP1980
now Press and hold Resume button for two (2) minutes and then release Resume button.
Turn off the printer and turn on again, the Printer will back to normal again.
1) With the printer powered off but connected to a power source, press the
Power button while pressing and holding
the Stop/ Reset button.
2) When the Power LED is lit, press the Stop/Reset button two times while
pressing and holding the Power button.
3) When releasing the Power button and the Stop / Reset button (regardless of
order), the printer will move into a
service mode. (Waiting formenu selection)
4) When the LED lights in green, press the Stop/Reset button the specified
number of time(s) according to the
function listed in the table below.(Each time the Stop/Reset button is pressed,
the LED
lights alternately in
orange and green, starting with orange.)

This is the REAL working method of manually resetting Canon ip1880 - ip 1980.
1. Unplug the POWER cord.
2. Press & hold the power button.
3. Connect the power cord WHILE holding the power button.
4. Keep on holding the power button for about 30 seconds.
5. Release the power button. The printer should be turned off.
6. Turn the printer on and that's it!
NOTE: You have to do this every time you turn on your printer. Or you will get the waste pad full error.
