I will give your suggestions a try. I understand how to manually install a printer, but am still working on how to select Postscript Printer Drivers.

Hello, I have a fail-safe Solution for you... :) Go to the HP Support Website and click on Drivers and Downloads. Choose the 'Scan My Computer' option and make sure the usb cord is connected and the device is turned on. Choosing this method will allow HP to Download and Install Any & All Updated Software as well as Drivers for your HP Devices. Very Simple & Virtually Effortless.. There you go... GOOD LUCK & PLEASE don't forget to rate my Solution. Thanks!! Lucky4lynn2
Did you check the Microsoft Compatability Listing for the model 630 printer? There may not be a driver for your Vista 64 OS. Search Microsoft Compatability List using your favorite search engine to find the list.
If your printer is listed, great. If not, you will have to go to www.hp.com/support to find a driver. If none is offered there, you can always ask HP. HP responds to public inquiry for drivers if there is enough interest shown. Failing that, you might find 3rd party drivers that may work to your satisfaction. ... and alas, lastly, if you can't find a driver, your alternatives are limited to: Running your printer on a compatable computer/OS, using that computer as a print server on your network or ... purchasing a new printer.
go to www.hp.com
>click on support and drivers tab
>tick on the box that says download sw and drivers
>type in your printer model number then click go
>it will open new window
>select your operating system (vista)
>select full feature sw and drivers
>downloaqd and save this in your pc
>after downloading run the sw and install it on oyur system
Lift the right black rectangular paper sensor (located in the middle of the printer just below cartridge slides) clean it up, try with vacum cleaner first if it does not help use coton swabs and clean it.
From what I can see Vista already has the drivers for this printer built in, so if you have installed the Windows XP drivers from CD you may need to remove them first and see how it goes with the standard Vista drivers.
Please note that some functions may not be available as this product is not completely Vista compatible.
I will give your suggestions a try. I understand how to manually install a printer, but am still working on how to select Postscript Printer Drivers.
