Gaggia Titanium stuck on RINSING CYCLE

The machine is stuck on the Rinsing Cycle which I cannot find a way of stopping / breaking. Often pressing buttons / button combinations at switch-on will cause various test modes to be started. Pressing buttons 24 & 26 at switch on will cause a button / component test mode to be started, but none of this helps. I suspect that a sensor or similar is stuck / broken. I am still left with a Rinsing Cycle which is continous and will empty a full water tank if left on.
Also the central coffee dispenser unit (fig22) cannot be removed, strongly suggesting something is stuck and preventing its removal.
Can anyone help with this ?

Let it rinse it may run for some time.
you will not be able to remove the brew unit as it is engaged to be rinsed.

Rinsing cicle is not stoping.Mashine not responding to any baton. How to stop Rinsing cicle and go to normal mode? Thanks Radan

If its is only the rinsing cycle at start up you can go into the menu and turn the rinsing cycle off.
If its the rinsing cycle for the descale, it has to run out of water to finish. Then reprime the machine and it will start to heat again.

Rinsing cycle won't START

After all, I turned machine off with power switch, waited 30 seconds and turned it back on. It displayed "RINSING CYCLE" message, but this time went through regular rinsing cycle, then rinsed thoroughly (I counted several cups of water) and RETURNED TO NORMAL.

Halleluiah! Now I can get my morning coffee again!

Gaggia titanium

John, The duration of the rinsing cycle is equal to the amount of water you have in the water tank. I don't believe they tell you this anywhere in the manual! I own a Titanium SS and it rinsed and rinsed and rinsed the first time I performed it! I figured out it will just keep going until the water tank sensor tells the machine it is out of water which is equal to saying to it: "Thanks for using all the water i wanted you to use to rinse, now you're finished." Hope this helps, Tony.

The rinsing cycle stays on and DOES not pump water

Try first to continue filling up the water resovoir (UP TO FOUR times) to see if the machine completes the rinse cycle on its own. If that doesn't work contact Gaggia Customer Service in the US at 888-389-4123. Sally there was VERY helpful and should be able to resolve your problem.
