I purchased a canon ir c 3200 from a large company which had it setup on a large office network with their own IP address and other settings etc.
Therefore when I plug it into my network it does not communicate at all.
How do I reset and erase ALL settings on this printer to restore factory settings?
Thanks for your help
Ok. Press the additional functions key - that is they key with the star inside it - then select 'system settings' then 'network settings' then select 'ip setting'. Once you've got into the ip settings you can enter all your own network settings. All you need to enter is IP address, subnet mask and default gateway but you'll know all that.
Ok my what you need to do is first go into service mode by pressing asterisk key(*) on control panel and then press2& 8 simultaneously on numeric key pad and press asterisk key again.Other screen will appear with following main screen: copier.sorter,feeder,etc.Go copier another screen will appear go to function touch it then go to clear all then switch off machine then on again.In this way you will have cleared them ram then do paper size registration by going to CST intermediate screan put different sizes of paper in the ADF one at time keep pressing ok for each size selected.After you are through exit service mode by switching off machine.

I own this copier and im trying to hook it up to my network. when i go to the network settings pages the only thing that shows up is the tcp/ip setting. After i select this option there is no other option to help me adjust the network settings on the printer. any help would be appricated, thanks
Dear;
You can easily go from the screen to the setup menu into the network setup. You can do it yourself without being an expert,and thre you simply change the IP address, submask, Getaway, without resetting he machine.
I do not advise resetting the machine to factory default especially if it was used and parts like drum,... were changed before you own it.
Good luck.

Here is the Canon support website. If you can find you model , you can download a manual which contain all the information that you need.I coundn't find it because I dont know enough about you printer. Ink? etc.
