Unreadable disk whenever you put the disk in it keeps saying disk unreadable

Hi there,
Smart Disk Error has something to do with the Hard drive of your computer. I think the reason it's showing the message is that your Hard drive is about to fail. If restoring it to factory settings freezes on the same point every time chances are that part of the hard where the data is stored is busted (unreadable) better do what it says to contact hp so that they can conduct hardware diagnostics on your hard drive. Better yet, have it replaced if it's still under warranty.

This is simple the disk is unreadable.........

A solution that works for scratched disks is:

Using cigarette ashes finely ground up put them on the disk.....
After rubbing them in gently lightly blow off remainder of ashes......
If it still don't work you can have the disk resurfaced.......

The laser has developed a "kink" brightness will fluctuate
as much as 30% relative to heat.

A new laser will more than likely remedy the problem.
The lasers are cheap and fairly easy to install yourself

Or have a shop swap it out for 50.00-70.00.

The laser is old and weak and is unable to read duel layer disks (games)

You have two options

1 take it to a shop ,and have them swap out the laser for 70.00-80.00
I normally swap out the whole drive for the same price.

2 buy a laser online for your specific drive ,cost 20.00-30.00
and install it your self.

i had this problem with my xbox and its due to either the laser or the magnet within the disc drive that holds the disc in place. the magnet may have come loose which mean u can either open the drive up to try and reposition it, or replace the drive all together. my suggestion would be to send the xbox to microsoft if under warranty or send it to a third party company to see if they can fix it. buying a new drive for your xbox involves some very complex firmware flashing which is not advised

your disk is messed up ok u cant do anything about it but i know how to can get it fixed for about 5dollars rent the same game at blockbuster and see if that works then after that switch the games so u have the good 1 and they have the messed up one=)... 1 love =)
