Go to print settings then choose black n it will .but after restart

Maybe you do something wrong check maybe you buy wrong cartridge or something

put a new color disk

I know it sounds daft.. i had this on a word document... although the text was showing in black it was printing in white. try changing the text colour to black... hope that helps

sorry that printer need the black cartidge because is the principal, If don't have a black catridge it don't work. Please replace the black catridge.

My i550 Canon Printer will not print colour, black only. Colour cart. are full. Computer checked out OK. Driver is OK. All 3 colours stopped printing at the same time. linda gal16

This printer does not let you print if even one of the cartidges is out of ink. I suggest you replace them and then in the printer properties change your settings to the way you want color to be spent.

If is an original brand? Some generic cartridges or refill ones gave that problem.

Whilst you rarely print in colour, its important to know that you should try to print in colour at least once a week. This will reduce the risk of your colour nozzles blocking up.

Many people have gone out to replace their 'hardly used' colour cartridges when they dont work, thinking that they have dried up, when infact its simply blocked nozzles.

If you want to keep your colour nozzles and ink ready to run, just do a full colour alignment every 1-2 weeks. Minimal ink usage there and you keep your Canon MP780 running well!
