An unsupported black toner cartridge is installed

Some replacement cartridges require a new "chip" be installed to tell the printer that the cartridge is a match. I would check with New Egg and see if they forgot to send the chips, if required. I don't know of a manual bypass to the system.Dave W.

Hi,

For this machine I don't think there is a reset, but it is tempormental about the light that shines throught the back of waste cartridge.

Copy and paste this link directly into your address field, and see if you have it inserted correctly and then reboot.

Xerox Phaser 3600 printing 3 horizontal black lines across every page

Replace your toner cartridge with a known good one even if it's empty. If the lines are not present you know you need to install a new one.

Xerox Phaser 3260 Printer. I can't reset counter on it. Is there software to do that?

Question edited for clarity, full 'make model (what it is)'. check out the videos, however, it is a Xerox and they like to keep track of page counts because it is often part of the contract for lease or toner supplies on their machines. https://www.google.com/search?q=phaser+3260+printer+reset+counter ..

Xerox phaser 6500 will not recognize the magenta

Magenta toner(s) not being recognized, I looked into the little slot on printer where chip slides in and found one of the four contacts was bent up out of position. Rather than risk further damage by poking it in such a confined space I am going to remove the part first.
