The light tunnel is out of adjustment or is collasped.. you can take the cover off (with the machine unplugged) there are 2 screws on the engine,1 you can see thru the hole in the top off the main board, the other is down next to the power supply. that is the one you need to adjust. you will need a small allen wrench that will fitin the screw and still be able to turn it without hitting the power supply. turn the screw towards the direction of the banding. try 3 small turns and put back together and see if its better or worse. if better adjust some more, if worse the tunnel has collasped.

Green hazy upside down arch of color across the screen

Your convergence board is in need of reworking on a component level or replacing the board! And you will most undoubtedly need to resolder the vertical IC and all ICs mounted on heatsinks on the power supply board. This TV is showing its age. You may choose to repair and that may last a year more or so! Good Luck and thank you for asking!

My sony rear projection kdfe50 has a blue hazy line at the bottom of the screen

If that blue hazy line is there in all inputs and no signal, you have a defective light engine. Contact Sony Customer Support because they extended the light engine warranty on some models.

VIZIO P42hd PS42a plasma Picture has two vertical lines (one red/orange, one blue) going down the right-hand side of the screen. Lines are clearly visible

The panel is almost certainly bad. The only fix for this is to replace the whole panel which would cost more than the whole TV.

Blue shadows on my philips projection tv

You have possibly contaminated fluid in your blue picture tube if it has a hazy look.Blacks and whites look bluish and whites have a blue bloom to them. The other problem could be bad convergence amps. This would be double image around letters on the screen.

Shadows on screen

Try moving a medium powered magnet (not one for picking up heavy objects and not a refrigerator holding one) over the distorted area. If that doesn't work, try a more powerful one. This worked for my Toshiba LCD. Good luck!
